VOLUNTEER AT SEGA
SEGA loves and appreciates its volunteers! When you volunteer at SEGA you share not only your professional talents, determination and problem-solving skills but also your country’s language and culture, and this helps to expand the global awareness of SEGA students and staff.
SEGA has ongoing needs for volunteers to assist with non-teaching activities at 3-month intervals between January and November. In addition, during October and November, volunteer English teachers prepare incoming students through an intensive English language immersion program.
Due to the Tanzanian government’s stringent requirements for classroom teachers, SEGA regrets that it is unable to host volunteers to teach core subjects. However, accredited teachers are always welcome to assist with after-class (afternoon and evening) remedial lessons.
Benefits of Volunteering at SEGA
As a volunteer at SEGA, you will gain the satisfaction of contributing to programs that will leave a lasting imprint on students, staff and the SEGA institution. You will live on campus in a modern house and receive a stipend to cover basic household needs. In addition, SEGA covers the cost of your short-term visa as well as transportation to and from the Dar es Salaam airport.
